Clayton County authorities close 13 massage parlors

JONESBORO, Ga. - Clayton County authorities Friday shut down 13 massage parlors believed to be fronts for prostitution.

Officers arrested about 20 owners and managers during the raid. About 35 female employees - nearly all Korean immigrants - were taken into custody and will be deported back to their home countries, authorities said.

Some of the women may have been forced to work against their will, authorities said.

Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill said the businesses were closed and their assets seized to prevent them from reopening.

"Today, we've done major surgery to cut this cancer out," Hill said. "These places attract drugs, gambling and other illegal acts that lead to violence."

Ten of the spas were in Jonesboro, two in Riverdale and one in Lake City. They had names like Sun Spa, Tokyo Spa and New Oriental Spa.

Sounds like there'll be increased tensions in Clayton over immigration? Where's the ACLU when you really need them?

I wonder if they took many pictures before the "bust" when they had these places under surveillance. I might be interesting to know who was keeping them in business.

In this case it was Korean women. I was watching a show on A&E that was about prositution in the United States and around the world. It was very interesting as it showed and told the truth. What made me sick was in one city a pimp would take one of his American women to a migrant camp and she would have sex with approximately 100 illegal men for $20 per man. One of the former prostitutes mentioned that. In a news segment on the migrant camp that was recently shut down in California, there was also mention of prostitutes going in there once a week. I wonder if that goes in in the migrant trailer camp in South Miami Dade? I will try to find out.

I posted an article yesterday about a small one run here by illegal Chinese. One they can deport because they overstayed a visa....the other is applying for asylum. The add was "Asian girls". Guess they set them up in apartments and took calls and sent the clients to them. Probably harder to catch since they aren't on the street hustling up business. They advertise for massages by Asian girls. I know I'm rather ignorant on the dark side of this sort of stuff......I know it goes on but it's getting worse, not better.

The higher end prostitutes or escorts are harder to catch and if they do get caught, it is the girls who get caught and not the owner in most cases. The callers get screened and many places are only advertised by word of mouth. It is much harder for the police to be able to set up a date. Those set ups are often run by organized crime groups.

I may get a lot of flack for this but I think prostitution is a victimles crime...except when it comes to human trafficking. One of my family members is an escort and I have nothing against it. It is not illegal to be an escort however the act of prostitution is illegal. I know this statement may shock some of you but I think the government is crazy for not legalizing, regulating and taxing prostitution. This close relative of mine is a normal person, pays honest taxes on her business and gets checked out regularly at boston medical center. Not only that but she volunteers 2 hours every saturday for a non profit cancer awareness organization. I happen to think what 2 consenting adults do behind closed doors should be noones business.
Well, one night I get a phone call from this relative crying saying she was arrested in the allston/brighton area of boston. She was very shooken up and due to high anxiety(and me being the only family she has in the area), she asked me to go with her the next day to her arraignement. She, like myself is a big lou dobbs fan and is very opposed to illegal immigration. We parked the car about 2 blocks away from the court house. While crossing the street to get to the court house, we as well as the officers arresting her walk right past 30 illegal aliens standing on the corner waiting to be picked up.Crossing the street at the same time as us, were all three of the officers involved in the sting operation in which my relative was arrested. I all of a sudden became very angry with the system . I was asking myself, "Why isthe commonwealth of massachusetts spending taxpayer money on entrapment sting operations on harmless escorts when right in front of the court house, there are hordes of obvious(non-english speaking) loitering illegal aliens in which them being in this country is a crime. Yes folks right in front of the courthouse waiting for work and we have no idea who they are and what their intentions are.

Now as far as us citizens are told, LE takes an oath to protect civilians at all times and supposedly they are ethically bound to do whatever it takes to ensure the prevention of harm to the community it swears to protect.
Who is to say one of those laborers waiting to be picked up is a terrorist. I wonder how and if the law enforcement in MA will be able to live with themselves if they end up being responsible for a terrorist act that they themselves could have prevented.

What the man really wants is sex. And he's looking for a man to hire for the day.
