GA Cops, DAs confer on enforcing immigration law
Cops, DAs confer on enforcing immigration law
By Jeremy Redmon
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
When state lawmakers passed Georgia’s tough new immigration enforcement legislation this year, they blamed the federal government for not doing enough to curb illegal immigration.
But the success of that new law will depend at least in part on – you guessed it -- the federal government.
That’s because federal authorities control deportations. Citing a shortage of manpower and prison beds, those federal immigration officials say they can’t seek to deport all suspected illegal immigrants and instead are focusing on kicking the most violent out of the country.
Atlanta area police are now seeking to temper expectations for Georgia’s House Bill 87, which is scheduled to take effect on July 1.

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Bull----!!!!! Stop companies from hiring them. Stop giving them freebies. Watch how quickly they deport themselves! I am so sick of their lame excuses! Enforce existing laws for God's sake!

Set up tent cities. If the Feds need instructions on how to do it all they need do is ask Sheriff Joe! Some razor wire, a few cots, some surplus tents, put it downwind fom the local sewage plant also. Feds blame game of not enough cells and holding facilities is just bunk. They can do it if they wanted to.

It's not that they "can't", it's that they "won't"! I'm fed up with the federal authorities giving us the finger everytime we try and enforce illegal immigration! This has got to stop, and think it's high-time the federal authority laws are long since overdue for a major "overhaul"!<div>"Diversified"*does NOT*mean invading*our Country and forcing their culture and language,**stealing jobs,*using fake ID',s, living on government benefits, and flying their flag over ours! </div>

If they wanted to clear out the cells then all thats needed is to streamline the judicial system, make it that if an illegal is detained it will only take 24-48 hrs to proccess and deport that person. The Feds can do it..its the Obama administration and Dems who need the illegals and latinos behind them.
