Where I work, documents are required of ALL workers - completed I9 form, along with required documents such as birth certificate, social security number, passport, etc. We also use E-Verify. It would be pretty hard to prove a case of discrimination.

this Thomas Perez character's name surely is in the news lately.
he is part of the voter intimidation stuff against the black panthers.

i dont see what the company did wrong in asking for documents if they thought someone was illegally in the country.

i can see the problem asking an american citizen for a green card. but knowing limited english, if the company thought he was not legal, dont they have a right to ask for more documentation?

The government alleges that Garland required all non-U.S. citizens applying for jobs to present certain work authorization documents in violation of the Immigration and National Act (INA). That act requires that employers not require different or more difficult employment eligibility verification standards for non-citizen authorized workers as compared to U.S. citizens.
So asking a non-citizen for their green card violates the INA? How do you know they are authorized unless you ask for these documents? I guess you don't and that's exactly the intent of perez - to create a environment where companies are reluctant to ask for any documentation out of fear of the government stepping in and slapping a law suit against them.

Obama and his social justice cronies are determined to give away the store.

Holder and Obummer need to self deport.

Obummer to Kenya and Holder to Mexico.
