National immigrant groups blast Bruning for position

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - National immigrant rights groups are blasting Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning's stance against giving legal aid to illegal immigrants and are laying the groundwork for a possible lawsuit.

The Mexican American Legal Defense Fund says it is investigating the issue but stopped short of saying that it would definitely try to sue Bruning.

Raul Gonzalez with the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic rights group, called Bruning's position "legal gymnastics" and that "taxpayers should understand they're going to pay for his politicking," because it will likely be challenged in court.

Bruning cites a section of the 1996 national welfare reform act when saying he shouldn't provide legal services to illegal immigrants.

"National immigrant rights groups" = Associated Press speak for pro-illegal alien ethnocentric cabals.

You are so right SoSad. We already give them more than our own countrymen and women receive. American citizens are denied these services and the illegals get it no questions asked.
