State bill would put teeth in immigration screening

Local governments that take illegal immigration lightly could lose state money under a bill approved Tuesday by the state Senate.

Senate Bill 20 adds some teeth to a Georgia law passed two years ago that cracked down on illegal immigration.


That previous action requires public employers to use federal databases to screen immigrants when hiring, and to verify an applicant’s immigration status when giving welfare benefits. Senate Bill 20 says failure to do this could cost the local government state funds or state-administered federal funds.

The measure, approved 37 to 9, also prohibits local governments from declaring themselves “sanctuary citiesâ€

Why do these frickin Demoncrats believe my tax dollars should be used to support welfare and other benefits for the rest of the world's population that violate our laws, borders, sovereignty and use stolen identities to illegally take jobs from Americans and game our health care, welfare and other programs? That is why I left the party and am now an independent....I have to pay for my health care with my meager retirement while illegal aliens receive kidney, liver and other transplants, chemotherapy, dialysis and other treatment at taxpayer expense while Americans die because of a lack of access to the same care...I am so g-d damn sick and tired of this....Thank you to the butt hole prostitutes on Capital Hell and the fraud in the Oval Office for placing the interests of suffering and struggling Americans behind those illegally here for cheap labor to placate politician's corporate johns......
