Gang Member/Convicted Aggravated Felon Arrested By Border Patrol

CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a gang member Wednesday evening.










The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., when agents assigned to the Calexico Station arrested a man for illegally entering the United States. Agents apprehended the man approximately two miles west of the downtown Calexico Port of Entry and transported him to the El Centro Sector Rally Point for immigration and criminal history screening.

Agents conducted records checks, which revealed that the man, a 23-year-old illegal alien from Mexico and a member of the Alley Boys gang, had a prior conviction for 8 USC 1326, Re-entry after being
Previously Removed. The man, a convicted felon has multiple criminal offenses out of Santa Ana, which include gang enhancements, vandalism, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Additionally, he was ordered removed from the United States on December 30, 2020.

The gang member is being held in federal custody pending federal prosecution for 8 USC 1326, Re-entry after being previously removed from the United States.
