Failure to approve President Obama's stimulus plan will spread chaos across Latin America and the world, causing widespread unemployment, intensifying hunger and poverty, and sparking waves of unregulated immigration, according to a statement by Freydell+Torres Diversity.

Freydell+Torres Diversity is an advertising agency servicing Latino and other diversity communities in the United States, with clients in the non-profit, insurance and telecommunications sectors.

Partners Humberto Freydell and Carlos Torres urge swift passage of President Obama's economic plan, warning that "stalling the process while awaiting an ideal plan will have devastating effects on the Hispanic and other diversity communities in this country."

"Immigrant communities with strong ties to their home countries play a critical role in maintaining those countries' economies," the Freydell+Torres Diversity statement said. Stopping this source of income "could lead to regional economic collapses, causing widespread unemployment, increased hunger and poverty, unprecedented social unrest, and opening the door wide for political demagogues."

Freydell+Torres Diversity warned "this in turn would boomerang as an immigration tsunami."

"We urge Congress to put politics aside, act swiftly and deliver the bill on the President's desk as soon as possible. There's too much at stake," the statement concluded.

We ask Congress for swift approval of President Obama's economic stimulus plan.

While we know this plan may not be perfect, we have no doubt that stalling the process while awaiting the ideal plan will have devastating effects on the Hispanic and other diversity communities in this country.

The recession is punishing Latino and other immigrant communities, eroding their purchasing power and reducing their regular remittances to their countries of origin.

Given the critical role these remittances play on economies across the globe, further reductions could lead to regional economic collapses, causing widespread unemployment, increased hunger and poverty, and unprecedented social unrest, opening the door for political demagogues.

This in turn would boomerang as an immigration tsunami.

As voters and as business people serving the Latino and other diversity communities, we urge Congress to put politics aside, act swiftly and deliver the bill on the President's desk as soon as possible. There's too much at stake.

Actually approval of this trillion dollar leftwing and corporate special interest illegal alien jobs and benefits giveaway porkfest Ponzi scheme will result in a tsunami of illegal immigration. With the "Anointed One's" refusal to back e-verify with it not in the Senate version of this trillion dollar shaft up the taxpayer's ass, illegal aliens have been told they will be the first to be hired for any stimulus crapwich jobs resulting in a stampede of untold proportions of leeches for the so called border for those jobs and the free healthcare this government now has offered to them too through SCHIP. We are so beyond screwed that just screwed looks good at this juncture.
