State official: Raid cost $4 million

The federal raid on a Butler County company that led to the arrest of 161 suspected illegal immigrants Tuesday cost $4 million, a state official told more than 40 people who met Saturday to determine how to help families affected by the raid.

Ezra Escudero, the executive director of the Columbus-based Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs, told the group gathered at Su Casa Hispanic Ministry Center in Carthage that he received that figure from Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland’s office.

“I think that it’s important for every American to ask: ‘Is that price worth it? Is this the best use of taxpayer dollars?’ In my mind, the answer’s clearly no,â€

They don't get it do they ?

This type attitude (entitlement) just angers americans more.

If it's costing too much, they need to subcontract the job for less. I would like to see some hard numbers on his fluffed up numbers.

The raids went all over not just in Bultler county and that numbers isnt even close to what the real ones is...No way that made up stuff...

I told you guys the local paper around here side with the criminals and with the criminal bed bugs.

I find the 4 million pretty unbelievable......

They are either lieing or ripping of the American taxpayer, we need to call for some over sight before this turns into another Katrina and they will not be able to find the billions of $$$$
