Thread: Gutierrez-Molina wanted in Chapel Hill - Rape of young girl

CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Police Department is attempting to locate Celestino Gutierrez-Molina, who is accused of raping an elementary-school-age girl.

Gutierrez-Molina is also wanted for taking indecent liberties with a minor.

According to authorities, the alleged assault occurred Sunday morning in the girl's home. Gutierrez-Molina is a relative of the child, who sustained other injuries during the assault, according to police.

Gutierrez-Molina is 44 years old and is 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He has dark hair and a mustache and may use the last name of Gutierrez or Molina.

Anyone having information about him or his whereabouts is asked to call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 942-7515. People calling Crime Stoppers do not have to give their names, and they may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.

Unless someone has information this suspect is an illegal alien or is working to confirm that this person is an illegal alien, reports of crimes where the suspect is merely Hispanic should not be posted.
