U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector Nov. 21 - 27
(Thursday, December 01, 2011)
Blaine, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.
11/21/2011- Agents arrested two subjects with immigration detainers that were scheduled to be released from jail in Forks, Wash. The subjects, two Mexican citizens illegally present in the U.S., were processed for removal.
11/21/2011- Agents assisted a Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputy who had stopped a vehicle north of Lynden, Wash. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined that the three occupants in the vehicle were Mexican citizens illegally present in the U.S. The subjects were processed for removal.
11/24/2011- An agent witnessed an individual on foot quickly leave the roadway and run into the woods, near Blaine, Wash. Agents searched the area and encountered one person, who admitted to being a Mexican citizen illegally present in the U.S. Subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
11/25/2011- Agents responded to a request for assistance from the Blaine Police Department regarding a subject acting suspiciously near the high school in Blaine, Wash. The subject, a Canadian citizen, admitted to having just crossed illegally into the U.S. The Canadian citizen was processed and turned over to the Canadian Border Services Agency.
11/25/2011- Personnel monitoring a remote video surveillance system witnessed one person cross illegally into the U.S. from Canada north of Lynden, Wash. Agents responded to the area and encountered a subject from the United Kingdom who readily admitted to having just entered illegally into the U.S. The subject was arrested and processed for removal.
11/27/2011- U.S. Border Patrol operators of a remote video surveillance system witnessed four subjects enter illegally into the U.S. north of Lynden, Wash. Agents responded and apprehended the four subjects, all citizens of India. Subjects were processed for removal.
