Haslam denies that he’s trying to block E-Verify bill

Gov. Bill Haslam says he’s not trying to kill a bill that would require all businesses in the state to run new hires’ immigration status using the federal government’s E-Verify system, despite some choice words from the bill’s sponsor, Lascassas Rep. Joe Carr, in this morning’s Daily News Journal.
