Neither party has fixed immigration, because both parties are in the pockets of special interest lobbyists. This Austin Mayor, Tom Stiehm needs to understand the economic mess America is in, owing to the unceasing influx of illegal immigration. Republican candidate, Brian Davis seems to be the only politician that wants to get things done, like building the original fence--not the cut down version.

People don't have any idea of the ramification of both Republican and Democratic platform on illegal immigration, specifically of what McCain and Obama are recommending.

It's not just jobs and futures society becoming balkinised? It's not just about language that has caused wars around the world? The major issue is OVERPOPULATION?

The Southwest already suffers from a shortage of drinking water. Then there is the serious energy issue. Where are the oil, gas, electricity and other resources coming from in the future?

Diversity Alliance for Sustainable America. (Earth Times) stated in it's article that if the U.S. grants amnesty and gives citizenship to 12 to 30 million illegal migrants already here, as McCain, Obama and the majority of Democrats propose, that all those naturalized citizens could possibly add 120 million U.S. and foreign-born relatives to the U.S., in the next 20 years, whom all will CONSUME MAJOR ENERGY.

Do the American people need to escalate the 315 million plus population, the census estimates we have now? To a new total of 435 million?

Overpopulation, traffic congestion, urban sprawl, pollution, environmental damage, water, oil, gas, energy diminishing resources, contagious diseases, lack of affordable housing, depressed wages of US citizens, underground economic, fraudulent documents, identity theft, Sanctuary cities, predatory businesses tax evasion, soaring nationwide crime rate growth , increased taxpayer burdens, $$$ going across the border, overseas, overcrowded schools, uneducated legal children, overcrowded prisons, inadequate health care for legal residents, but free health care for illegal immigrants.

The balkanization of our communities is a large and growing population with loyalty to other Nations. In America there is estimated to be at least 12 million illegal aliens, if you believe the government. The heritage foundation thinks just California has 8 million? Then there are the millions just waiting behind the fence. Already citizens and residents are supporting huge welfare programs in different states that not even mentioning what the Fed's are secretly spending?

You have to search the Internet for the unsuppressed truth? Read about the budget meltdowns in other states, including California with a $17 billion dollar deficit. $11.billion dollars attributed social programs for illegal alien families. My son's school in Los Angeles County has more ethnic illegal students, than our own kids.

All I can say to the author is you need to talk to ARNOLD. He wants to put toll gates at the border to move along the traffic. Oh yes, that will help.

Sounds like Chicago.....they are selling toll roads we already paid for, to pay someone else to still drive on!

Not to mention....the truckers are destroying our roads that were built for civilian traffic in order to avoid the tolls. I don't blame them for doing so.....I'm just saying where there is an out....there is more expense on the shoulders of the simple citizen.
