Government, Minutemen maintain racist campaigns
A scourge of military recruiters is descending in ever-increasing numbers upon South Texas (front-page article on Oct. 12). Like vultures they try to induce our youth into the cannon fodder funnel

A plague on our house, seeking blood for oil, these recruiters are worse than the racist Minutemen, whom I have reduced to diminutive men endowed with racist puffery. Zeroing in on our border areas, these recruiters are engaging in what is tantamount to racial profiling. Easy pickings can be found in our barrios. Beware: the Minutemen are armed with water pistols.

Do you hear any politician lambasting this racial profiling? Of course not. These politicians are, instead, cheerleaders for the military and warlords in Washington.

Pushing patriotism are the only real super-patriots, the merchants of death who seek super profits for arms sales, billionaires who profit from never-ending interventions.

Why should our raza youth join the killing machine when we are being victimized in the good ol’ USA by white racists? Associated Press reporter Bill Poovey recently wrote that Hispanics are the new target of hate groups. Obviously, our fight is at home. Raza si. Guerra no.

Really, nothing is new since the KKK has always considered us and refers to la raza as “half-******s.� Ironically enough, most GIs have always been subjected to the dehumanizing indoctrination by the military brass and so it isn’t surprising that many GIs in Iraq are now addressing Arabs as “ragheads� or “sand ******s.� When these GIs return home alive, many will be called heroes. Such are the results of the U.S. actions of “liberation,� a euphemism for outright invasion.

Even more stupid are those who apologize and defend the Minutemen, the diminutive men, that is. What is it then, if not racism, when Nazis waving the swastika are welcomed at Minuteman rallies? It’s also a fact that many are KKKers seeing a haven under the banner of the Minutemen. Among the racists we’ll find California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, himself an immigrant from Austria, praising the Minutemen. Must I remind you that his father is, or, I hope, was, an admirer of Adolf Hitler? The Democrats aren’t about to be left behind when it comes to contributing to this climate of hate and fear as is evidenced by California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s continuing efforts at border control.

The Washington Times belabors Hillary Clinton as one who is “staking out a position on illegal immigrants that is more to the right than President Bush.� Every politician, regardless of party, has pushed the political spectrum to the right. Those voters who still seek solutions from within the two-party system will be better off if they open a business shoveling smoke; it will be more productive and lucrative. Try it anyway, and see.

Hypocrisy, anyone? Justin Akers, who has done exhaustive research into these interlocking subjects, writes, “In November 2004, when lettuce farmers in Arizona experienced labor shortages due to an expanded use of Border Patrol checkpoints,� the largest agricultural trade organization in Arizona and California “stepped in and requested ease up until the farmers could get enough workers to make sure the multimillion-dollar crop wouldn’t perish.�

The Border Patrol meekly said, “Si, señores.�

Hoo-boy, big business rules the roost. Many of these huge agribusinesses that loudly decry big government don’t hesitate to pocket millions in dollars in subsidies from government benefactors who freely pass out taxpayer money, of course.

Also, did you know that former Cato Institute economist Stephen Moore, in one of his studies, found that immigrant households paid an estimated $133 billion in direct taxes to the federal, state and local governments? And that the National Academy of Sciences found that immigrants benefit the U.S. economy and “may add as much as $10 billion to the economy each year,� and that “49 of the 50 states come out ahead fiscally from immigration�?

The anti-immigration movements add to the arsenal of a social phenomenon we have come to know as racism. Virulent racism is a necessity under the present socioeconomic system, aiding in the process of “divide and rule,� which pits race against race aiding the superrich, a true minority, to stay in power. A minority of such greedy families as the Pews, Dukes, Mellons, Rockefellers and Kennedys rules.

So while these diminutive men claim they are here to get rid of illegal aliens, the military recruiters are hoping to get their hands on someone â€â€

There they go playing the 'race card' again. There is a huge Hispanic racist movement going on out there. Why is it that there are only "white racists"?
As all of you 3rd World immigrants arrive, any concept of assimilation is considered racist. Without assimilation, we have several minority sub-groups competing for resources to promote their own culture and agenda.
LaRaza and other hate groups need to go. If you cant tolerate American culture, then leave. Most likely you are here illegally anyway.
