Grassroots America Demands Pardon for Convicted Border Agents
More than 156,000 Citizen Petitions the Centerpiece at CA Rally to Pressure
the President to Pardon Agents Ramos and Compean
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Dec 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a continuing
effort to pressure President George Bush to pardon U.S. border agents
Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean who are scheduled to begin serving their
decade long prison terms for apprehending a drug smuggling illegal alien at
our border, Grassfire.org will join Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (CA-46) and
present more than 155,000 petitions demanding their pardon during a
national news conference.
When: Thursday, December 21, 2007 at 1:30 pm PST
Where: Old Orange County Courthouse (Front Steps), 211 West Santa Ana
Blvd., Santa Ana, CA 92701
"Because of the actions of these two agents, more than a million
dollars in illegal drugs were stopped from being sold to our children.
Bringing felony charges against them is simply outrageous," says Steve
Elliott, president of Grassfire.org, a national issues advocacy
organization that has been at the forefront rallying support for the
convicted border agents since the story first made headlines. "These men
stood heroically for us at the border, and now it is our opportunity to
stand up for them."
In addition to petitions, Grassfire has also launched an aggressive fax
campaign to key lawmakers that has resulted in more than 15,000 faxes
deluging key offices including the White House, U.S. Attorney General
Alberto Gonzalez and others.
"Thursday's press conference is a last chance effort to motivate
President Bush to do the right thing and pardon these men who have been
victimized by our legal system," says Elliott.

President Bush will never in a million years grant a pardon to these 2 men. He would sooner grant a pardon to Osama before giving these 2 agents a pardon. The only thing left of Bush is his stubborness, he will not do it, we will have to depend on an appeal and a new trial for these men. After all, I am sure it came from the top, to try these men for doing to good a job on the border.

Good, more publicity for these agents.
I've written Bush that if he wanted to see a slight increase in his popularity (which is next to nil) he should do the right thing and pardon these agents. More and more I'm convinced this president doesn't work for us.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
