Investigators have discovered what appear to be fat, skin and bones at multiple homes in Tijuana once used by Santiago Meza Lopez (a.k.a. the 'Stew-maker'), who has admitted to disposing of hundreds of bodies for a rival of the Tijuana Cartel.

Meza Lopez was arrested in 2009 and confessed to dissolving at least 300 bodies in acid. He dumped the bodies into shallow graves, and then poured the caustic substance over them, allowing them to dissolve and seep into the ground.

According to Mexican authorities, the victims were rivals of Teodoro Garcia Simental, a former lieutenant of the Tijuana-based Arellano Felix (or Tijuana) Cartel.

Meza Lopez says he was paid $710 a week for his morbid work. He claims his busiest time came in December 2007, when he dissolved 32 bodies in one month.
