UT: More backlash over immigration bill

    More backlash over immigration bill

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - More fallout over the proposal to imitate Arizona's controversial law that cracks down on illegal immigration. Another Utah Senator has stepped forward to blast the idea.

Senator Luz Robles is speaking against the Utah bill, but what is her objection?

She says there is no way the state can even afford to carry out the law. She says everyone needs to go back to the drawing board on this issue and work together to come up with a more comprehensive approach towards addressing illegal immigration in this state.

“There was no fiscal note attached to the bill, this is going to be hundreds of millions of dollars that the state of Utah doesn't have,â€

Stick with it UTAH. You don't need a "fiscal note" to arrest criminals in your state illegally.

Besides, you'll be collecting millions of dollars in fines from illegal aliens and illegal employers, aiders and abetters, if your bill is similar to the AZ immigration bill. I guess Robles doesn't know enough about the issue or the proposed bill to do the math.

    Deport all illegal aliens

Enfore current immigration laws; fine all employers who hire illegal aliens because illegals enter without visas or overstay. That we must not tolerate. Therefore, they have to leave. NO MORE ILLEGAL ALIENS IN THIS COUNTRY. IT IS TIME TO DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS. YOU CANNOT DEPORT 12 OR SO MILLION ILLEGALS? YES WE CAN. ENFORCE CURRENT LAWS; FINE EMPLOYERS WHO HIRE ILLEGALS AND ILLEGALS WILL LEAVE.

The general public opinion in Utah is against illegal immigration. However, I don't think businesses, churches, chambers of commerce and manufacturers associations want to see the problem go away. The majority of Utah restaurants seem to employ illegals, they usually work behind the scenes in the kitchens, away from public view.

GO UTAH! Stick to your guns! Don't give these traitors an inch. Pass your bill, defend it vigorously and enforce it to the letter.
