    Has the U.S. betrayed Texas?

    Has the U.S. betrayed Texas?

As new reports surface of a second intentional incursion by an armed Mexican naval helicopter into Texas air space, what was at one point tin-foil hat theory becomes an alarm bell for Texas.

There have been literally hundreds of incursions into U.S. territory in recent years by individuals who are dressed as members of the Mexican military, armed like members of the Mexican military and who operate like trained military personnel.

Now, given a string of recent political events, Texans are beginning to wonder: has the U.S. government cut a deal with Mexico which betrays the Lone Star State?

I penned a column on the subject for this week's edition of the Gonzales Cannon newspaper:

    *****

Were it not a plausible theory, I would resign it to the tin-foil hat bin. In light of the evidence, though, I have to ask the question.

Has Texas been betrayed by the United States?

Yep......they scramble fighter jets to intercept a plane when a foreign diplomat is caught sneaking a smoke in the bathroom, but can't seem to do the same when mexican military helicopters fly into our airspace

First numerous and ongoing incursions by land, now violations of our airspace, and not a freaking thing is done......

What in the hell goes on here?

I think the Obama administration is turning their backs on what is happening in Texas because Texas voted against them. Let Texas fill up will illegals, put 6000 NASA employees out of work any thing they can do to get back at us. In the mean time our Republican Governor is doing nothing but talking a big talk.

Here is my question, doesn't Perry have the authority to send The Guard down to the border without the approval of Obama? If so, then that means Perry and this newspaper would rather blame Obama, instead of putting the blame where it is due. I blame Obama as much as I blame the Republicans of Texas for turning their backs on our great state. They make too much money in contributions from companies that profit from illegal labor. Don't even get me started on the Texas Democrats....
Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad you're here.

There are a number of situations in which the PC Act does not apply. One just so happens to be National Guard units deployed under the authority of the governor of a state. Rick Perry can in fact order the National Guard Troops to the border, without any violation to PCA.

Furthermore, securing an international from incursion is not something that would generally fall under the juridiction of local or state police agencies. The intent of the act was to prohibit the federal government from using the military as a law enforcement agency within the United States. Protecting an international border from foreign invasion is not a task generally assigned to local or state police agencies.

No need to even consider PCA in this situation...

    It's neglect. It's deliberate.
