Here's Obama saying this massive job loss, more than expected, shows an "urgent" need for action. Well, one action that is not needed for the protection of jobs for American workers is amnesty:

Exactly! We've lost over one million jobs in months. According the report I heard on Fox Business News they expect the revised numbers to be even larger when all stats come in.

I think they are leaving for recess tonight or this weekend, so I don't know what any activism would do right now. Let's hit them hard after the holidays.

Gutierrez is a racist big time and needs to be voted out. I hope Illinois can get their act together in regard to this puke.
    Unfortunately he was just re-elected...

After the holidays yes, but it can't hurt, and can only help, to make some calls now even while not in full battle mode -- especially with Harry Reid's trial balloon that amnesty would pass the Senate easily, and Gutierrez pushing hard and having open borders activists roaming the halls of Congress trying to spin that the election was a "mandate" for amnesty (NOT). This is no doubt why Numbers has issued alerts.

It sounds as if they want the raids stopped because illegals are too scared to come out to the marches etc. Their numbers have dwindled which doesn't do much to help their cause. Remember their annual march this year? Pathetic comes to mind.

    Gutierrez

This little Hispanophile is from Puerto Rico. In spite of the Jones -Shafroth act which makes him a citizen, he advocates for Hispanic causes. This country will never be safe, as to its sovereignty, so long as there are people like him in government.

What happened to hois obligation to America nd his oath of office?

Guitterez is no intellectual but he has used race-baiting as the key to his Chicago political career...just like OBAMA. He is very single-minded in his focus about just who his constituents are.....Latinos whether illegal or legal...because that is who resides in his gerry-mandered district in Illinois. I seriously think that amnesty will not be touched.....we just lost 500,000 jobs in November...they're calling it the worst jobs report since 1974.....there is no way to pass the red fact test in front of the American people and make a case for allowing one single illegal alien to remain here in the United States,...employed or not. Not one. Enough is enough.

"Mr. Gutierrez said workplace raids that separate families must stop"

That it a good reason why we need chain deportation, so we dont spit familys up. All we need to do is make knowingly supporting, helping, or shielding an illegal alien a deportable offence. Even if we dont it is the familys choice not to move out of the country with their spouse.

All the while we hear about splitting up families, they also tell us sad stories about men not being able to send money home to their wife and fourteen children.

Hope you're right legalatina, but now we have John Cornyn, Republican Senator from Texas, announcing yesterday that he supports "comprehensive immigration reform" (AKA amnesty) and he wants this to be a top priority in 2009. See this thread:

We sent over 150,000 faxes and made phone calls as the 200 pro-amnesty people were walking through the halls. Let's see 200 to 150,000. Hmmmm.

Now we need to get the word out in our work places, our other areas of influence so that people know about this and spread the word to their families, friends, and co-workers. Get it to your co-workers and see what flies then? Get them involved here or at the least Numbersusa were they can take 10 minutes of their day to send a fax or two and let their voices be heard. Let's get millions of them to them. Speak while they are in recess. Now is the time to get information out while they are at rest.
