    The H-2A Temporary Agricultural Visa Program is Good Enough

    The H-2A Temporary Agricultural Visa Program is Good Enough The Way It Is
    http://fungazi.com/wordpress/?p=359

    As our congressional representatives return to Washington following their break, and the 110th Democrat controlled congressional session (noted for doing absolutely zip all nothing) prepares to bend, fold, spindle, crumple and otherwise mutilate the few remaining rights of the American people, the over paid marketing consultants working for the agricultural industry lobbyists are kicking off a major propaganda campaign aimed at convincing the American public that there is a very serious need to replace the H-2A temporary agricultural visa program with a gala senatorial giveaway that will include a variety of cleverly disguised amnesty programs, further reduce the currently abysmal level of border security, encourage a greater increase in the number of illegal aliens now coming into this country, and remove the burden of acting responsibly from the massive agricultural conglomerates while placing the economic burden of their illegal actions on the American taxpayers who are far too dumb to realize when they are being sucked into a major scam.

    The agricultural industry is currently afforded the ability to bring foreign nationals into the U.S. to perform agricultural labor or services of a temporary or seasonal nature under the H-2A temporary agricultural visa program. Under this program workers can enter into the U.S. for temporary work and enjoy all the benefits of a regular employee while they are here. They can bring their wives or husbands and children to stay with them while they are here working and their children can attend school during their stay. If they need to go outside of the country for any reason while they are here under the H-2A temporary agricultural visa, they may do so without concern, and they will be allowed to re-enter the country so that they can return to work without problem. If they are offered a better job with another company while they are here they may change jobs if they choose without restrictions. The H-2A visa is good for the period of employment indicated on the form that the employer filled out to request it or for 364 days if the worker finds another job and an employer willing to fill out the paperwork required. The H-2A visa may be extended to as much a three years. Any farmer or agricultural enterprise in the United States that needs seasonal help such as that provided by the migrant farm workers, can take advantage of the H-2A visa program simply by filling out the requisite forms and agreeing to the following stipulations:

    *That the employers have tried to recruit American citizens to do the work but were unable to find any citizens willing to take the jobs offered;
    *That the wages the employers pay the H-2A workers are the same they would offer to U.S. workers;
    *That the employer is prepared to provide free and approved housing to all workers incapable of returning to their homes at the conclusion of each workday;
    *That the employer is prepared to provide either three meals a day (at a minimum charge) or furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities for workers to prepare their own meals;
    *The employer is prepared to provide free transportation between any required housing site and the worksite for any worker who is eligible for such housing and those who provide their own transportation will be reimbursed for the cost of the transportation;
    *The employer must agree that upon completion of the work contract, the employer will pay for transportation home or for transportation to the worker’s next job.

    In addition to these simple requirements, the employers must also cover their employees with Worker’s Compensation, they must provide all tools and required safety gear needed for the job, they must maintain accurate employment records, provide their employees with statements of hours worked and wages earned, pay their workers at least twice a month for the hours they work, provide each worker with a copy of the work contract they signed and follow all of the applicable state and federal labor laws.

    Essentially, any farmer, agricultural group or association that cannot find suitably qualified American citizens to do the work that they require can take advantage of the H-2A visa program and secure an unlimited supply of legal migrant workers with the full blessing of the United States government providing that those employers are willing to provide reasonable accommodations, pay their employees fairly and treat them with the respect and courtesy that should be afforded to all human beings, American citizens or not.

    Unfortunately, the American agricultural industry is dominated by massive corporate entities and financial institutions demanding lower operating expenses and higher profits for every new season and they see the minimal requirements of the existing H-2A visa program as being an unwarranted drain on their precious profit margins and any American law that results in them making less money than more is obviously un-American and needs to be changed to benefit them more. For lack of any better descriptive term, these massive corporate entities and financial institutions who have gained a controlling interest in this country’s food supply are criminal enterprises actively flaunting this country immigration laws. Every year they openly recruit and hire millions of illegal aliens. The corporate entities and financial institutions backing the American agricultural industry encourage more illegal immigration into the U.S. than all other sectors of American industry combined. Promises of easy, no-questions-asked employment by American agricultural businesses are bring more than 8,000 new illegal aliens into this nation every day. They back-breaking labor provided by illegal alien workers lured into the country by these agricultural criminals is, more often then not, rewarded with sub-standard, below scale wages, inhuman living conditions and intolerable working conditions that make slavery look appealing. The illegal aliens are often cheated out of overtime pay and the employers withhold excessive “rentâ€

    Bottom line: our country does NOT need the massive AgJobs amnesty scheme that Feinstein, Kennedy and the rest of the usual suspects are peddling on behalf of the farming special interests,

    Please everyone, call Congress and tell them to OPPOSE the AgJobs amnesty scheme that would legalize millions of illegals.

    That's an indication of the obscene protits they make off illegal labor. Instead of a reasonable profit by using the H2-A visa program, they go outside the law and INTENTIONALLY hire illegals because they can command a much higher progit margin. They need to be prosecuted and thrown in prison. There is no way they can claim "they didn't know."
