In dark of night, Bush administration announces commencement of NAFTA trucks pilot



In a hastily-scheduled press teleconference held at 9:00 PM on Thursday night, the Bush administration announced that its controversial NAFTA trucks pilot program would begin immediately.

During the press call, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration head John Hill declined to summarize the findings of the Department of Transportation Inspector General report which had just been released and was an legally required condition precedent of initiating the pilot.

Hill mentioned only three areas of disagreement with the IG report, including one that referred to state enforcement of federal motor carrier safety standards against Mexico-based carriers operating outside the current limited commercial border zone. A January 2005 DOT IG report found that only four out of 14 states interviewed were actually placing Mexico-based carriers out of service when they were found to be operating beyond the commercial zones.

BBush should be charged with murder when the first person is killed the first load of drugs or illegals is brought in on one of those trucks!! OR A BOMB!
