Hazleton, PA - Judge orders deportation

    Police Log - 9/11/2008

Judge orders man to be deported

An immigration judge ordered the deportation of a 24-year-old Hazleton man, who gave troopers an identification card with false name back in November, state police said.

The name on the card was Victor Manuel Rosa Vazquez, police said. Troopers found the man, Victor Hernandez, at his home in June and he admitted the name on the card wasn’t his, police said.

Hernandez told police that he got the identification card from the state Department of Transportation using a fraudulent social security card and birth certificate which he bought on Wyoming Street in Hazleton about five years ago, troopers said. He had the fraudulent social security card, police said.

Troopers took him into custody and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement sent a detainer to lodge him at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in Wilkes-Barre, police said. The deportation order came on July 22, police said.

I still believe that the folks who are deported should be sent home with a microchip embedded somewhere which will set off alarms when that person sneaks back in with a new bunch of fake documents.
