Is like I can hear Reid, and Casino owners here in Vegas.

My husband does window cleaning (working at 57 year-old at 110+ weather) and we refuse to hire illegals, so now he is working double for half the pay, all while paying federal taxes, license and insurance, with no health insurance "because we make too much" and not enough, while illegal aliens get free health insurance (like Nevada Check-up) because they make "just" enough, hey at the end of the day, with all tax-free, all-health-expenses paid they are making more than us. No wonder they are laughing all the way to the bank and to Western Union to send the $ over to Mexico.

No kidding!!! Get these guys some cheese to go w/ that wine!

Don't buy into the farmers rhetorical crap. The individual family farm is practically non-existant anymore. Now, the majority of our produce comes from corporate farms, who get govt. subsidies, huge tax breaks, etc. and now, all of that will be going away. POOR BABIES!!!!

Stick a binkee in your mouth and shut the hell up.

2commonsense: welcome aboard. I hope you/your family are able to hang tough until things improve.. Best of luck to you (and THANKS, for choosing to do business the legal way). Actually, let me add: I was just thinking that it is businesses like yours that we should be subsidizing, not companies that hire illegals (to help level the 'market playing field').

sippy: Rock on dude! Party on Wayne. Yep, you're correct - agribusiness is a more accurate term than 'family farmers' (yes, sad as it is...) anymore.
It's greedy big businesses wanting unlimited amounts of cheap slaves.

Most of them in the construction industry here in North Carolina are paid very well I've heard. Seem like Americans would be willing to do these jobs if they were paid like the illegals.

Welcome to ALIPAC, 2commonsense...and thanks a million for doing business the right and legal way.

I wonder if you would think abut writing a short "letter to the editor" and send it in to your local paper and TV newstation? Your situation is one Americans need to hear more of instead of the whining from businesses that do business the wrong and illegal way.

I am SO sick of hearing this. It is impossible to get a job here
here in Florida. It takes forever and then someone who does
not speak English gets hired first. Then you get a phone call
6 months after you applied for the job originally. Gee, I don't know
but I have to pay rent EVERY month. So calling me 6 months later
is not exactly what I am looking for.............OH, and let's hear
it for a full time job............NO WAY. NOT here in Florida. Part time
only. It has been an absolute joke here in Florida. All retail co.s should
be sued for the way they treat legal Americans ie Starbucks and most
big companies. And if you apply online, YOU NEVER HEAR BACK.
NEVER. It is an absolute joke getting a job in this country anymore.
    JOKE. JOKE. JOKE.
And yes, I am mad, mad as hell. And there is NOT one thing I can do
    about it.

They can profile you very easily online before you come to the store of an interview! Also I could be a front so it looks like there "trying" to hire Americans but hire illegals at the back door anyway!

    Welcome JJsokay!

We should all call and ask this lady what they are paying their "temporary" illegal workers. I'll bet it's not much.

Then, we should let her know that AMERICANS WILL DO THOSE JOBS for liveable wages.

I just talked to her and she says " i didn't say all Americans"

I asked her how these jobs got done before the illegals took them and she said " I Don't know "

Not a very smart woman. I say everyone flood the phone line!
