Great place to drop a stink bomb. Let them have their jollies. It will be a 3 ring circus of horrors. Loud, obnoxious, cross between the Marde Gras and unions-go-red neck. La Raza to be there? Will there be a clash between the illegals and the union thugs? Early voting has already started in some states.
I wonder if the unions will get guaranteed pay for the day they take off from work to march? D.C. is becoming immune to gatherings on the mall. Too many, too often makes for ho-hum news. The biggest thrill of the day is guessing how many showed up. MSM will be there flying their colors.

(quote)Liberal groups plan One Nation rally in D.C.

    By Krissah Thompson
    Washington Post Staff Writer

    Tuesday, September 28, 2010; 10:56 AM

Liberal groups hoping to revive enthusiasm before the midterm elections are encouraging members to show up on the Mall on Saturday for a rally that they expect to draw tens of thousands of people.

Their aim is to reclaim the sense of excitement that surged among left-leaning groups after the 2008 presidential race but more recently has belonged to tea party groups and other conservative activists. Conservative commentator Glenn Beck filled the Mall with tens of thousands of his supporters last month.

The organizers of the Oct. 2 rally, dubbed One Nation, are calling it the "most diverse march in history." The amalgam of 300 progressive groups - environmentalists, antiwar activists, church and civil rights groups, union organizers, gay rights coalitions and others - is planning four hours of speeches, singing and spoken-word poems.

"We lose separately, and absent of a strategy to work together we will continue to lose," said Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, chief executive of Green for All, an environmental group supporting the march. "We have to be able to take critical action on all of the issues facing this country. We're at a critical moment in history, and we have the opportunity to move forward in a really significant way."

The One Nation groups hope to set up a kind of competition with the tea party movement. If their rally is successful, organizers will try to hold the groups together to become a revived political force. They are promoting the rally through their network of groups, on liberal radio, and on television host Ed Schultz's show.

"We aren't the alternative to the tea party, we are the antidote," said NAACP President Benjamin Jealous, who has also been a lead organizer. The team that produces the NAACP's annual Image Awards show will put together the program for One Nation.

The groups involved represent many of President Obama's core supporters, including the National Council of La Raza, NAACP, AFL-CIO, SEIU and the U.S. Student Association. The effort is separate from the Democratic Party's plan to spend $50 million trying to reach those same voters - though Organizing for America, the grass-roots network that Obama's campaign created, will send out an e-mail encouraging its affiliates to attend.(quote)

Miami Dade transit union members are going and their transportation is being paid for. They are only responsible for their meals. I heard this from a reliable source this afternoon.

They will pay for it in the end, whether in dues or out of their benefits.

    NAACP’s ‘One Nation’ Counter Rally

Posted by Kristinn Taylor and Andrea Shea King Sep 21st 2010 at 2:12 pm

The NAACP-led ‘One Nation Working Together’ rally coming up in Washington, D.C. on October 2nd to counter the Tea Party movement’s success is being sponsored by pro-terrorist and communist groups. Many of their logos are proudly and prominently displayed on the rally’s promotional website. One sponsor’s leader was fired this summer by the U.S. Civil Rights Commission for his ties to Hamas.

The rally’s sponsor list demonstrates how the Democrat party’s liberal establishment has mainstreamed treason and anti-semitism.

Included among large, traditional labor organizations sponsoring the rally: AFL-CIO; National Education Association; the union of federal government workers’ American Federation of Government Employees; United Auto Workers; and United Mine Workers .

Joining them are anti-American, anti-Israel groups: Stalinist ANSWER Coalition; and the terrorist supporting Obama funders Code Pink and United for Peace and Justice, which since its inception and until recently was led by noted communist Leslie Cagan. Listed on the sidebar as sponsors are anti-American groups Veterans for Peace and Iraq Veterans Against the War.

All have supported terrorists in Iraq who were killing American troops and liberated Iraqis.

Also listed as partners of the One Nation rally are the Communist Party USA; the Democratic Socialists of America; the International Socialist Organization; and the War Resisters League.

One Nation Working Together also lists as a partner the American Muslim Association of North America, whose leader Sofian Abdelaziz Zakkout was fired this summer by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights for his ties to Hamas and David Duke.

The NAACP has hammered the Tea Party movement with nebulous accusations of racism based on hearsay and staged visuals by leftists. Despite efforts to paint lone oddballs as examplars of the Tea Party movement, the movement has made it clear that extremists are not welcome. The Tea party movement has also made it clear it is open to all who share its vision of fiscally responsible Constitutional government.

Will the same liberal politicians and reporters who express such heartfelt concern about the make-up of the Tea Party now stand up and demand the One Nation Working Together rally cleanse itself of the anti-Israel, pro-terrorist groups in its coalition?

Will conservative politicians and media — or the Tea Party itself — have the fortitude to call to account the One Nation Working Together rally?

The mainstreaming of treason and anti-semitism represented by the One Nation Working Together rally is yet another example of the radical left’s permeation throughout the Democratic party and the Obama administration.

Many prominent Democrats, from President Obama to Senators like Barbara Boxer, Congressmen like John Conyers (and the late John Murtha), to presidential candidates Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have in recent years knowingly worked with one or more of these anti-American, pro-terrorist groups.

The national media has given them a pass, naturally.

These groups’ treasonous actions and ties to the Democratic party have been primarily documented at Big Government, Front Page Mag, Discover the Networks, WorldNetDaily and Free Republic.

NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous said in a statement announcing the rally:

“One Nation Working Together is a movement of everyday people who are marching on 10-2-10 along with human and civil rights organizations, unions and trade associations, youth and student groups, faith, educational, environmental, peace, gender and identity rights groups, and hundreds of other groups. We are making a direct demand – to reclaim our fundamental right to the American Dream. We are holding our representatives in Washington accountable for re-focusing national priorities on what is important – the people.â€
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
