Since Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) expressed support for granting driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, backlash against lax immigration policies has intensified in the polls and in Republican presidential campaign politics.

In the last televised Democratic presidential debate, Clinton said home state Governor Eliot Spitzer’s plan to permit illegal aliens to apply for driver’s licenses “makes a lot of sense.â€

Everyone should send Governor Eliot Spitzer a great big thankyou. Think about it. He has done in weeks what it may have taken us months to accomplish. He drove illegal alien drivers license issue right into the hands of the media and onto the front pages for us. And the best part of all of it is it was by accident. He also gets bonus points for helping to forcing Hillary into a corner on a wedge issue that she managed to bury her self with.

Dragonfire, you are correct. I didn't look at it this way, but it makes sense. He did more to help our fight than he did to help the illegal's cause.

I loved the add, I hope it wakes up a few of our sleeping neighbors. I wish it was nation wide.

I saw it and, of course, the pc people and the democratic strategists are saying that targeting poor Mexicans is over the top. Of course, they don't give his full statement on H&C last night. He said, they one person caught at the border was screened and found to have terrorists connections and was sent directly to Guantanamo.

Do these people leave the doors on their houses open and let poor people (of any nationality) come in and take whatever they want? If not, they need to shut up.
