Hire an Illegal Worker, Lose Your Business

Hire an Illegal Worker, Lose Your Business
Arizona’s tough new immigration law has companies running scared

    by Jane Sasseen

In the 20-plus years since starting out as a cook, Jason LeVecke has built up one of the biggest restaurant chains in Arizona. He now boasts 1,200 employees manning 57 Carl’s Jr.s across the state–ten of them added this year alone. But on Jan. 1, a new law takes effect in Arizona that would severely punish businesses caught hiring illegal immigrants. So LeVecke is looking for growth outside his home state, and will build 25 new restaurants in Texas. Unless the legal situation improves, he says: “We won’t add any new sites in Arizona. It’s too great a risk.â€

Well, Utah has there doors wide open for these illegals to come running too and they are. I think jobs are getting scarce here because we can't employ them all. So instead of working or going back to Mexico they are robbing banks, breaking into homes. stealing cars, home invasions and the list goes on and on. It is lovely living here. Come ski Tijuana Utah.

What a SOB story. 57 stores built on the backs of low paid workers.
He whines, instead of playing by the rules and giving jobs to young American students, mothers and folks on social security.

If he's hiring illegals I don't want him in Texas either. We have enough illegal businesses already!!

Yes, we already have enough of his kind here already.

Maybe if we could get some legislatures in Texas to grow backbones, we could get something going - but I fear too much of our Texas legislature belongs either to big business or to Mexico.

A lot of the jobs now done in Metro Phoenix by illegal aliens were once done by American retirees.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Interior enforcement works; this is why the cheap labor and open border lobby are so adamantly opposed to this!
