Hispanic births outpace all others in Washington

SEATTLE (AP) — Hispanics give birth to one in every five babies in Washington state, outpacing all other ethnic and racial groups, according to U.S. census and state health statistics.

The birth rate among Hispanics, 103 babies for every 1,000 women of childbearing age, is almost twice that of any other group in the state and reflects nationwide trends.

The combination of high Hispanic birth rates, high rates of immigration and lower birth rates among whites has led to projections by the U.S. Census Bureau that by mid-century, nonwhites will be a majority of the population nationwide.

In Washington, minorities could account for 32 percent of the state's population by 2030, compared with 23 percent at present, according to the state Office of Financial Management.

Last week a census study on fertility showed that among women 15 to 50, as the agency defines childbearing age, those born outside the U.S. had 71 births per 1,000 women, compared to 52 per 1,000 among natives.

The study also found that an average Hispanic woman in the U.S. will have 2.3 children, more than her white, black or Asian American counterparts.

In May, the census bureau reported that Hispanics were the largest and fastest-growing minority group in Washington state from July 1, 2000, to July 1, 2007.

The number of people who claimed Hispanic ethnicity grew by 36.7 percent in that period, from 445,963 to 610,005.

Hispanics were just under 10 percent of the total population of 6.4 million.

Immigration rights advocates say the change reflects natural and historical trends.

.....no big surprise as they are outpacing everyone everywhere here in America for births. Pretty soon we may have to impose the "one baby" law that China did....

I have a theory, a bit bare bones in development at this time. The crux of it is, one reason (a primary reason?) the Democrats are so infatuated with the hispanics (both legal and illegal) is because they provide the huge numbers currently in the demographic and economic strata they desire and will in just a matter of a few decades provide overwhelming majority numbers the Democrats can use to manipulate to fuel their big government and huge social welfare programs, neither which would be successful without large numbers of people. Of course, they will have the voting block to keep them in power through this manipulation and courting of this large block by giving them what they want...a job of some sort (though low waged) but also massive governmental assistance via even more taxation of the wealthier and largest producers. But, it you have a pretty good job making pretty good money..there's nothing you'll be able to do about this march to economic socialism through marxist idealogy because you'll never be able to vote them out of office or power.

Anyway...the theory is a little rugged and needs some more refinement but perhaps, you get the gist.

I really sucks to think that this generation of Americans now will most likely be the last.

Diversity is something that these Hispanic groups use to defend the fact that they feel is their right to be here. But where is the Diversity when they become the majority?

Me too, Zeezil. Deductive logic here. That's one of the reasons I left that party permanently.

Democrats need to start breaking down their party to decide just what constitutional AMERICAN principles or who's interests these power-grabbing idiots are working for.
Same goes for the Republican Party.

I don't think you're off the mark at all Zeezil.......not to mention a greater number of people with no patriotic ties or history and a belief that this new socialism is the way to go. Mindless drones following the pied piper over the cliff.
