Hispanic Lawmakers Disagree on Strategy

A disconnect is growing among Hispanic lawmakers over the strategy for moving comprehensive immigration reform, with some pressuring President Barack Obama to push legislation this summer and others acknowledging the issue likely will have to wait until after the midterm elections.

Some leading voices in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus are becoming increasingly aggressive in their calls for Obama to demand immigration legislation this year.

The president needs to “put his back into the push for comprehensive immigration reform,â€

Goodness, quit whining like little kids, Hispanic Caucus. Does it matter to you that the economy is in the tank, we are fighting two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we have nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran, or that China provides a cheaper work force than Mexico? That is only touching the surface of the problems we face (not to mention the Israelis are real ticked at us) and Obama bows to all our "enemy" leaders.
Does any one of these fools ever realize that the country they know and supposedly represent is in serious trouble? Of course not! They have a narrow vision, such a giving a bulldog a bone which he will not let go of. And my bulldog could be hung in a tree, but never let go of the branch.

Poor Luis, sold his soul to the devil of illegal immigration and now he's threatening to disrupt US elections over people who shouldn't even be able to vote. Someone should ask Luis, "who are you going to tell to stay home"? What American citizen of Hispanic descent would stay home because you think more of an illegal alien than you do the well-being of a US citizen?

I think race-based Caucuses in the US Congress are unconstitutional. Don't you? We should put an end to them. By the way is there an American Caucus anywhere in the US Congress? Maybe that's the problem. Maybe AMERICANS need a "Caucus" in the US Congress.

How will his sorry @$$ get re-elected. I urge him to follow through on this benign threat. According to luis, he would love nothing more than for hispanics to hold this country hostage until their demands are met.
