Immigration fight is about the money
In recent months, a large number of my colleagues in Washington and Texas have discovered the U.S.-Mexico border and our unique security concerns here along the Rio Grande.

The bill we will consider in Congress this week has little to do with what can we do to secure the border; it has become a showcase for supporters to use as a political football.

Many people oppose this. The array of organizations opposed to it spans the ideological spectrum AFL-CIO, national Hispanic groups, Farm Bureau, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Catholic Charities, and so many more.

I welcome each voice to the border security discussion. I have been talking about the dangers facing border security and OTMs (other than Mexican) for a year and a half â€â€
