YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — Border Patrol agents in southwestern Arizona have arrested a Honduran man for illegally entering the U.S. near a California port of entry.

Yuma Sector agents say Felix Fernandez was stopped Thursday near the Andrade Port.

They say a records check showed Fernandez has been removed from the country seven previous times, the last being in October 2014.

Authorities say Fernandez was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 1993 and served nine years in prison before being deported.

They say Fernandez will be processed in accordance with Yuma Sector guidelines.
