A Missouri man is being held at Tulsa County Jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he was arrested early Friday on burglary and assault complaints.

Reynaldo Fuentes, 31, was arrested about 1:50 a.m. after his ex-wife told police he broke into her apartment and assaulted her and her boyfriend, according to an arrest report.

The incident occurred at the Observation Point Apartments, 4104 S 130th East Ave., about 1:30 a.m. when Fuentes allegedly went into the victims' bedroom while they were sleeping.

The woman told police that when she refused to leave with Fuentes, he used a machete to hit the man on his leg and cut his leg. The woman also sustained a cut to her neck.

The man inside the apartment fought with Fuentes, who then left the scene by car. Officers pulled him over nearby and found him covered in blood.

According to the arrest report, Fuentes later admitted he entered the victims’ apartment without their knowledge and that he assaulted the man with the machete during a struggle.

The man and woman were taken to Hillcrest Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a preliminary police report.

The woman told police she lived with Fuentes in Missouri during their three-year relationship but that she recently broke up with him to move to Tulsa and live with her current boyfriend.

Fuentes was booked into the Tulsa County Jail about 6:45 a.m. on complaints of first-degree burglary and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $70,000.

The arrest report lists Fuentes' place of birth as Honduras, but his current address is in Ozark, Mo.
