Minuteman Wins GOP Primary for House Seat

Last night voters in Illinois’ heavily Democratic 5th congressional district voted in a primary for candidates to replace former Rep. Rahm Emanuel, now the White House chief of staff.

Mike Quigley won the Democratic primary, while Rosanna Pulido won the GOP primary.

Who’s Rosanna Pulido? She was a founder of the Illinois Minutemen, a wing of the immigration restriction group that patrolled the U.S.-Mexico border in 2006 and 2007. In this CNN interview, she called then-GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain “just another politician that acts as if he was elected to represent the Mexican government.â€

That is absolutely great news. Believe me there are many Mexican-Americans that are like Ms. Pullido. I personally know of quite a few. What politicians do not understand is that Mexican-Americans are just that, Americans who want to protect America from ILLEGAL immigration. It hurts all of us. I hope she can run against that powerful Democratic machine in Illinois.

Hats off to Rosanna Pulido....a GREAT AMERICAN! Although anyone running against the uber-liberal, Democratic Chicago machine especially in the 5th District would stand little chance of getting elected....Rosanna proved that there were enough voters for the primary that really do want a "change" in Illinois. I'm sure we haven't heard the least of Rosanna ...she's passionate about her love of this country, its freedom, it's liberties, senior citizens, veterans, and most common-sense issues like true fiscal responsibility and accountability from our elected officials. This country needs more people like her to stand up and be heard!
