Migrants forced to smuggle drugs into the U.S.

Drug dealers force migrants to carry backpacks filled with drugs.

    TRANSLATED FROM:

    http://www.zetatijuana.com/html/Edcione ... _Not4.html

It is a from of barter between drug dealers and "smugglers", in exchange for leaving them to continue working at the zone of Tecate, the drug traffickers utilize the undocumented as transportation of marijuana and cocaine. Sometimes at gunpoint they are forced, at other times they receive payments from members of
organized crime. Illegal immigration continues being the great business for both criminal groups.

    Néstor Cruz Tijerina

Tecate stopped being the paradise for "smugglers" that made business in this zone, and not exactly because the attorney general's office of the Republic (PGR) or the attorney general's office of Justice of the State (PGJE) are fighting them efficiently.

Now, united for a cause but separated, a group of these people and another group of agents from Grupo Beta that asked not to be identified, denounced to be victims of the drug-traffickers: In the case of the "smugglers", they assure that the drug traffickers, at gun point, forced them to cross drugs through their "clients" the immigrants, in backpacks or in bags.

And in the case of the agents of the National Institute of Migration, they confirm that when they want to carry out their preventive work, they have ran into to the same armed subjects which intimidate them and scare away.

"It is an open secret this about migrants crossing drugs (sic), nevertheless, it is a reality that increases every day, since now it is more difficult to pass drugs from other areas to the United States", they assured.

The agents of Group Beta also fear for their lives: "We, at times, just arrive with the migrants (sic) to do a routine survey, about where they are from, they come, what their age is etc, or well, or why they need some type of medical aid. But suddenly a group of armed people arrives and questions us about what we are doing, then we have no choice but to leave, since many of us are not armed and we would not be able to respond any aggression". They denounced that the main zones where they have run into these people are in the Cañada del Sol, Loma Tova and Roca Magisterial, "but they can appear at any part".

The "smugglers" told that in their crossings, suddenly, armed people with AK 47 rifles or guns surround them. Then, they ask to speak with the "leader" of the group, that is with whom they carry out the negotiation.

Come on! How hard would it be to drop the stuff in the desert after they left the drug dealers so they wouldn't get caught with it. You can't tell me that they followed them right up to the border. This is just a crock to make the illegals look like victims instead of criminals. Got to hand it to the illegals, though. They came up with a good story.

The thing is that mexican authorities know that migrants are smuggling drugs and no one does anything about it. All they do is bitch about the border wall and the Border patrol.

You're rigth tiny, they know it's part of the package deal. They are mules for a discounted coyote rate or payment. However, I'm sure they are watched every step of the way. They could be hauling thousands of dollars in one backpack and the armed smugglers know that a mule might get the idea to steal the goods and sell it himself. I'm sure they have ways of controling the mules like witholding water.

There's just nothing honorable or descent about illegal immigration because it's dishonest, criminal and corrupt.

I DONT THINK THEY ARE FORCED TO DO THIS. I THINK THEY PASS FOR FREE OR GET A DISCOUNT. THERE IS NO WAY THE CARTELS CAN FOLLOW ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ONE BY ONE. THEY MIGHT AS WELL CARRY IT THEMSELVES. THEY WOULD RATHER HAVE WILLING PARTICIPANTS.

AND I AM SURE SOME ARE WILLING SO THEY CAN GO ACROSS FOR FREE OR FOR LESS. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEIR RISK OF GETTING SENT BACK IS SO HIGH. THEY CANT PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

AND MAYBE THE MULES ARE NOT ACTUALLY AVERAGE ILLEGALS AT ALL. MAYBE THEY WORK FOR THE CARTELS AND IF THEY GET CAUGHT THEY JUST SAY THEY WERE TRYING TO CROSS AND THEN WERE FORCED TO TAKE THE DRUGS. I DONT BELIEVE THIS.

AND WHEN IT COMES TO SEX TRAFFICKERS I THINK THE SAME THING IS TRUE. THEY COME HERE AND WORK AS PROSTITUTES. IF THEY GET CAUGHT THEY JUST SAY THEY WERE KIDNAPPED AND FORCED TO DO IT. TRUTH IS WOMEN HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR DECADES AND WILLINGLY WORKING AS PROSTITUTES.

    redpony353,

Mules are expendable. Some get lost, captured, have unfortunate accidents so they are replaceable. They are the bottom of the drug cartel foodchain. All they are used for is a go between the border and the pickup person on the US side. Some may do it willingly, some may not, but if they get caught they get what they get.
