$500K holds suspect after child frozen

WEST PRICE HILL, OHIO - Hamilton County Municipal Judge Brad Greenberg set bond Monday at $500,000 for a man accused of freezing a 3-year-old boy under a cold shower so long the child suffered hypothermia.

Johaido Munoz, 28, of West Price Hill, faces one charge of felony child endangering, which carries a possible prison term of up to eight years in prison. Munoz is also accused of beating the toddler during the Dec. 23 shower.

Court records do not name the child. The boy has been released from the hospital and he and two siblings, ages four and five, have been placed in foster care, said Brian Gregg, a spokesman for the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services.
