It doesn't make sense when they talk about police officers not being able to ask for ID, etc.

My husband was stopped by an AZ highway patrol. We were in the car we had bought while we were staying in AZ. It had AZ plates, but it was listed on our insurance and we had the registration and title. My husband has Texas driver's license.

I thought that man was going to take us to the pokey because he just couldn't understand how we owned that vehicle and it was registered in AZ and others registered in Texas, covered by a Texas insurance policy, etc., etc.

Finally, my husband just slowly explained, we had just purchased the vehicle while we were there on an extended stay. He asked why it wasn't registered in TExas. My husband told him that AZ was funny that way, the absolutely demanded that we pay them the registration fees for a vehicle purhcased in AZ.

But it took a lot of explaining - wonder why they aren't as careful with illegals.
