"The biggest fear is that it will depict migrants in an unfair manner," Ramirez said.

Without including all sides of the volatile topic of illegal immigration, the show's producers run the risk of fueling anti-immigrant sentiment among some people, Ramirez said.
How can you show illegal aliens who commit crimes in a positive manner? There is no "anti-immigrant" sentiment among people. Americans are sick and tired of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS tramping all over our country and our laws. Legal immigrants are welcomed and treated with respect.

Christian Ramirez, a national coordinator with the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker human rights organization, said his group is concerned the series may be one-sided...Without including all sides
So, freedom of speech. This guy is crying on behalf of the Fairness Doctrine.

Christian, do what I do when something Ultra-Liberal and non-Christian is on TV.... Change the channel.

I agree they should show why illegals come here, it's to steal wages and benefits from Americans. Now why does a "religious" organization support stealing? At the very least they should lose their tax exempt status.

these pro illegals groups (including the church, which kills me to say) whine about these poor illegals but show nothing but contempt for the HARD working Americans who are losing their jobs , their investments (retirement), health care and yet are still expected to pay taxes to take care of these invaders... outragous! this is our country, which many of our family members fought and died for, now we should just hand it over... not going to happen. i was taught, to be Christian , charity starts at home.

105 Votes Enforce our immigration laws

The USA became a great country because most citizens respect and obey the law and because we strive to enforce and apply all laws equally. Those who come here illegally, needy though they may be, are citizens of a country, just not US citizens. They should not be rewarded for breaking the law, as they are not entitiled to the rights of citizens in a country that is not their own. Our symbol for justice, the blind lady holding the scales, demonstrates that all laws should be applied equally for rich and poor and for all ethnicities. To allow foreign citizens to break the law and be rewarded is unequal treatment and diminishes all our laws, undermining our system of justice and fairness for all. Asking those who have entered illegally to leave is not violating their human rights. A country is supposed to protect its citizens because that's what a "country" is. Putting foreign citizens (especially those have come uninvited) ahead of citizens is like parents feeding the neighbor's children before feeding their own. Moreover, just because the world is becoming overpopulated does not mean our country should take in more and more people. We need to return to traditional immigration levels of 250,000/yr. All people everywhere should work to make their own countries better rather than desert their homelands and then expect entitlements in the US. Too many on the lifeboat and it will sink. US population recently doubled and will again in the lifetime of our young people if legal and illegal immigration continue at the current rate Environmental degradation will come with it, as well as social and economic collapse. Is there an overpopulated country that is a great country and in which human rights are respected? As we become overpopulated only the rich and powerful will have a decent life.
Democracy will not survive. Once we have become purely a destination we can no longer be a guiding light for fledgling democracies.

Christian Ramirez, a national coordinator with the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker human rights organization, said his group is concerned the series may be one-sided and gloss over the reasons that lead hundreds of thousands of people to risk their lives crossing the border illegally each year.Does the hypocrisy never end? How dare Ramirez talk about lopsided issues when, for decades, all the American public has heard is the side of the issue belonging to the pro-illegal advocacy? Even today, groups like NCLR, out of sheer desperation as the wheels fall off their scam, are trying to use the legal system and our laws, in addition to the usual coercive and intimidation tactics, to silence those who would tell the truth about illegal immigration even if it means, according to Janet Marguia, revoking rights guaranteed by the Constitution. This series is THE worst nightmare come true for the pro illegal advocacy and they're showing it in a big way.

Ramirez said his group sent a letter to the network asking for a private screening before the show airs.In an e-mail reply from a network official provided to the North County Times by the American Friends Service Committee, the network declined the request for an early screening.Good for ABC! What makes any of these organizations, or individuals, believe that they are entitled to private screenings or any other special treatment? The purposes of such a screening, as demonstrated by their own actions, would have been only to decide that the content was not acceptable to them, followed by attempts to prevent the airing of the truth. Thank you ABC for refusing to be silenced on this issue!
