Not all councilmembers behind Gordon on Arpaio issue

There is no unity on the Phoenix City Council when it comes to Sheriff Joe Arpaio's illegal immigration sweeps.

On Friday, the ongoing feud between Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Sheriff Joe Arpaio escalated. After addressing participants at the Reform Not Raids National Summit, Gordon compared Arpaio to the racist sheriffs in the Deep South during the civil rights movement.

But at least one member of the city council disagreed with Gordon's comments about Arpaio.

"The mayor is speaking for himself. He is not speaking for the whole council and he is definitely not speaking for me," said Councilwoman Thelda Williams.

She told KTAR's Ankarlo Mornings that what Gordon is doing is more likely to start violence in the community instead of resolving problems.

Arpaio fired back at Gordon's comments. "He has no knowledge of what's going on and I think the people of Maricopa County and the United States of America understand his garbage," he said.

Arpaio added Gordon's comments are an insult to him and his deputies.

Boy, did she ever get that one right!!

There has been an overt, and concerted effort, for AT LEAST, the last two years on the part of people likev Gordon, Elias Bermudez, Mary Rose Wilcox, and the rest of that gang, to start something.

It's exactly what they WANT and that really became apparent after the amnesty attempt collapsed and AZ cracked down on illegals.

Recently, however, they have become more bold in their attempts and it's my belief that they are using the current violence at our doorstep as the catalyst to begin a full scale, violent confrontation in this state.

Maricopa County IS, after all, the AZ Division of Mexican Crime Central, literally infested with cartel members and gangs which do their bidding, embedded in our communities. These are people who, with their operations now threatened, are already on the verge of erupting into violence on this side of the border, and these three individuals in particular would love to see nothing more.

People are ALREADY leaving trying to get out of the way and they KNOW this. They also know that violence begets violence meaning that once confrontation begins, it's going to evolve into a free-for-all, Americans are going to be targeted and/or flee the state, on a scale at least as bad, if not worse, than what happened in LA during the King Riots, businesses will be destroyed, entire neighborhoods will be left in ruin. our government officials will be targeted, run out, and/or unseated allowing those of their choosing to take control.......yes.....they KNOW exactly what will happen here in AZ.

And they are doing their damndest to get that ball rolling.

Is Gordon privvy to any illegal drugs, or is he not a real American? He and his gang should be personally sued, tarred and feathered, deported to the country of their ancestry or just put on a plane and forgotten in Antarctica.

I would venture to guess that any politician who is against Sheriff Joe is on the payroll of the foreign drug cartels. It's the only plausible explanation for their anti-American statements and treasonous agendas.
