MCALLEN - Folks living on a quiet McAllen street say they can't believe what they saw: hundreds of oddly packed bundles of marijuana seized by federal agents from a home there.

Hundreds of bundles of pot were just hauled away from a home on 27th Street in McAllen. ICE agents searched the home while families looked on. We noticed some of the packages were coated in foam, something similar to what an ice chest is made of.

A tip led ICE agents to the home on the 3300 block of 27th Street with a search warrant in hand. Inside, they found thousands of pounds of drugs. We saw a white SUV was also seized.

Witnesses said they also saw agents removing several weapons. Maria Gaitan lives next door and saw everything go down.

Gaitan tells us she's shocked but mainly afraid for the children in this neighborhood. We’re told this is a relatively quiet street. Today’s bust is a big shock.

Agents along with McAllen police officers are now weighing all the drugs. We saw at least five pickup loads and a large trailer get hauled away.
