Her permission to come to the United States, acquired hastily after her musician fiance was paralyzed while on tour here, had long ago expired.

Turcinovic was suddenly without a husband and her best hope of staying in the country legally. Having a U.S. citizen husband was no guarantee of citizenship, but it was a leg up.

I have been a blogger here a short while. I have tuly enjoyed it and the speed at which information is discovered and shared. I, to date have not seen those who, to put it politely, are on the "other side". I have seen them come in to other sites which I left because they became a competitive squabbling blog site instead of their initial purpose. I hope our new blindly compassionate recruit does not lead us down that road.

This one could scream racism and be correct.

If I'm not mistaken though, this one wasn't hiding. She had registered every year and had been working with an attorney to get legal.

mexican isn't a race ;Mexico is a nation with a distinct culture. b][/b]
part of that culture is not respecting the laws of other nations.
