Agents Stop Drug Smugglers With Wheelbarrow Load of Marijuana

Rio Grande City, Texas —Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande City Station seize a wheelbarrow full of marijuana weighing 223 pounds.

On Thurday, at about 3:30 p.m., Border Patrol agents working in the La Grulla area observed several subjects pushing a wheelbarrow away from the Rio Grande River. When agents approached and identified themselves, the subjects abandoned their cargo and fled into the brush. The agents recovered 20 bricks of marijuana for a combined weight of 223 pounds. After a search of the immediate area, three male subjects were taken into custody. The narcotics have an estimated value of $178,400.00.

The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force in Starr County assumed custody of the narcotics.

Oh. Man. Now I got to worry about why they left that info out of the story. LOL

I heard about a guy who was walking down the street and when he walks past this guy standing on the corner he says "I bet you can't believe I'm carrying my pot out in the open like this" The guy replies " I bet you can't believe I'm an undercover narcotic's agent".
