    ICE South Texas officers deport Salvadoran man wanted for aggravated homicide
    Jose Martin Cruz-Martinez, 26, was flown to El Salvador Nov. 15 and turned over to Salvadoran officials. The El Salvador arrest warrant states that on Aug. 8, 2014, Cruz-Martinez shot and killed a man who was a passenger riding in a motorcycle taxi.

    Former Orange County teacher convicted of traveling to the Philippines to sexually abuse young girls
    Robert Ruben Ornelas, 65, of Santa Ana, a onetime school teacher and girls’ softball coach, was found guilty Thursday of seven counts – two counts of engaging in sexual conduct in a foreign place, three counts of producing child pornography, and two counts of possessing child pornography.

    Marc Misko, 62, pleaded guilty in Adams County to solicitation to commit money laundering and was fined $7,500. Mitchell Misko, 62, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit theft and was fined $5,000.

    Victor Larry Lee Wright, 33, pleaded guilty in August admitting he videotaped his molestation of a 7-year-old child. According to court records, Wright then distributed those images to an undercover HSI special agent via a peer-to-peer file sharing program.

    Jaime “Tweety” Balam, 27, a Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member from Mexico, was indicted in 2012 on murder and racketeering charges for his role in a shooting at a Daly City BART station. According to court documents, on Feb. 19, 2009, Balam was riding in a stolen car with other MS-13 members “hunting” for rival gang members.

    Audry Lane, aka “Spud,” 29, pleaded guilty Tuesday before U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children. On Monday, Deon Bonner, aka “Spanish Fly,” 26, pleaded guilty to the same offense; Chad Johnson, aka “Ocho Hood Fame,” 24, pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking of children. In late October, Stanley Johnson, aka “Pee Wee,” 24, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children.

    Kingpin of Orange County synthetic drug ring pleads guilty to multiple federal charges
    Sean Libbert, 41, of Newport Beach, pleaded guilty to a series of charges related to a scheme to distribute synthetic drugs commonly called “spice” or “bath salts.” Some of the drugs in this case nearly killed a victim who ingested them, according to the 16-count indictment filed in June 2014 that was the first in the Central District of California involving drug analogues.

    NOV 18 (NEW YORK)


    Michael J. Ferguson Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration New England Division and Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Brittany Esposito, 27, of Wallingford, pleaded guilty before Senior U.S. District Judge Alfred V. Covello in Hartford to one count of distribution of heroin. The charge stems from an ongoing statewide initiative targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, fentanyl or opioids that cause death or serious injury to users.
