Border watch group takes to the streets of Mesa
MESA, Ariz. Day laborers were met yesterday by members of the Minuteman Project.
The border watch group waved American flags and held up signs on one corner of Broadway and Gilbert in Mesa protesting the hiring of day laborers.
On the other corner, a small group of Hispanics held up their signs protesting moves to end the hiring of illegal immigrants for day labor jobs.
The Minutemen say if you're here illegally, you shouldn't be working, and people picking them up are creating the problem.
Day labor backers say the workers are here because Americans don't want to make beds, mow lawns and wash dishes.
They argue you can't have it both ways.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn
