DALTON, Ga. — Due to the high demand for renewal of Mexican passports and IDs, the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta is sending a “permanent mobile consulateâ€

That obviously doesn't count illegals because in the past 1 1/2 years over 3600 have been deported or in the process, just here in Nashville.

These Consulates confuse me, what does a Mexican Passport do for illegals?

I am sure the 50-plus Mexican consulates in this country need dollars earned in the US by these people who work here, legally or illegally. Or perhaps the illegals are convinced that a matricular card will give them some rights for taking advantage of our public service programs.

BB, you know what I think? I think they are getting ready in case they get deported. How that works, I dunno. But I smell something fishy too.

The funny thing is, a Mexican passport without a US Visa stamp of legal entry, is worthless, meaning they are illegal. I hope law enforcement knows this.

I assume it's a form of identification that can be used when stopped by the police. Many are taken to the police station simply because they possess no identification. Additionally, the ID helps them to open bank accounts, charge accounts, buy homes, etc. I don't know these things for a fact, just a guess.

IMO, it's aiding and abetting. It's time our U.S. Congress step up and end this practice.

Maybe they know someone who has a Visa Stamp, wouldn't surprise me one bit since they all seem to have criminal minds.
