    Sheriff Says Hog Confinement Employed Illegal Immigrants

    LE MARS, Iowa -- Seven people are in custody after an immigration raid in northwest Iowa.

    Plymouth County sheriff's officials said they carried out a federal search warrant near Le Mars on Thursday at hog confinements and a residence owned by Michael Vander Windt.

    U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents also assisted in the raid.


    Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo said Vander Windt employed the illegal immigrants. The seven people arrested were taken to Omaha, Neb., by federal authorities.

    Otterloo said three people face federal charges for falsifying documents, and the other four face direct deportation.

    The investigation is continuing.

    Keep them coming. If all states started these raids maybe we would start seeing more illegals heading for the border. I hear Taco Bell is going to start hiring in Tijuana!

    This is how DHS can circumvent the judges order to hold back SS#'s. They will use illegally here and fraudulent papers. Of course fraudulent SS#'s and stolen ones are crimes too. But Supreme Court justice Breyer's brother in San Francisco sides with the ACLU.

    Just keep looking for the crimes.

    It's about time these raids started in significant numbers. With many states passing laws combined with these raids, the illegals will get the idea that they are not welcome here and self deport.
    It's about dam time. This should have happened years ago!!
