Lou Dobbs Tonight
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Lou’s new book INDEPENDENTS DAY is now on sale in bookstores
and on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. In Independents Day,
Lou issues a rallying cry to American citizens eager for a
change, focusing particularly on the critical issues and
challenges of the 2008 election.
Tonight: A day after the Republicans’ less-than-inspiring final
debate before the Iowa caucuses, the Democrats had their turn.
We’ll have the highlights, winners and losers, and analysis
from our political team.
Plus, the Democratic candidates harped on the need to get our
troops out of Iraq—but did anyone articulate a clear plan?
English may not be the official language of the United States,
but some lawmakers are fighting to let businesses make it the
official language in the workplace. Rep. Tom Price has
introduced an act giving employers the right to require workers
speak only English while engaged in work related activities.
The legislation follows a lawsuit against the Salvation Army
for firing workers who did not speak English at work—after
being given a year to learn the language. We will have a
special report.
We’ll have the latest details on the case of Joe Horn, the
homeowner in Pasadena Texas who shot and killed two alleged
burglars, and may face charges.
Rising household expenses coupled with stagnant wages have
forced Americans to spend more of their income and save less
for retirement. An astounding 1 in 3 workers born in1990 are
projected to have no money saved in a retirement in 2050.
Please join us for that story.
And we’ll be joined by presidential candidate Rep. Duncan
Hunter.

Is he ever going to announce ANYTHING?? He keeps talking as though he knows someone who is going to run. A lot of people were saying Michael Bloomberg. Call me crazy, but I'm wondering if it might be Pat Robertson. Just a guess
