Immigration authorities raid Van Nuys printer supply company

LOS ANGELES—U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement says more than 100 agents have raided a printer supply manufacturer in the suburb of Van Nuys as part of a criminal search warrant filed under seal.
ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice says the raid at the offices of Micro Solutions Enterprises began around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. She says it's expected to lead to several arrests of current and former employees on criminal charges of providing fraudulent information in order to obtain employment.

The agency also expects to arrest employees who are found to be in the country illegally.

Always surprised when ICE is anywhere in LA of all places.

Van Nuys is in the San Fernando Valley of LA. SFV is full of this stuff. You could raid a business a day for the next 10 years and not get them all.

In defense of the company. Where are they going to find any legal citizens in the SF valley?

LOS ANGELES – More than 100 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided a printer supply manufacturer in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday, taking into custody about 120 employees for being in the country illegally and arresting eight on federal criminal charges, authorities said.
The raid at the offices of Micro Solutions Enterprises began around 3:30 p.m., said Virginia Kice, an ICE spokeswoman, who said the basis for the criminal warrant that led to the raid was under seal.



AdvertisementThe eight people were arrested for allegedly providing fraudulent information to get their jobs, Kice said.
All of the 120 people taken into custody for illegal immigration status were interviewed for what Kice called “humanitarian issues.â€

"usatime" I wouldn't be defending the company's to much, they have brought this on themselves by employing illegals, and replacing good paying jobs that belonged to citizens, so they could have cheaper labor, get out of paying health care and retirements to Americans, this is happening all accross America....

little by little Citizens move out of the towns that have been over run with illegals, crime, graffiti , over crowded schools etc. They move to other states and Calif. is losing alot of tax dollars, it has a huge rise in the cost of health and social services, hospitals going broke etc....the problems go on and on due to the greed of business owner...they deserve what they get.

I feel sorry for the citizens left in Calif. that have to deal with the problems, alot of them are stuck, have family ties, jobs etc. they are the ones suffering and their life styles have been destroyed all because of a lot of greed.

I just about fell out of my chair. Southern California really, for sure, no doubt, real story kind of sure?
