We wonder what the in-flight movie was...

Federal immigration officials have deported an MS-13 gang member to El Salvador, where he was wanted for extortion.

Jorge Alberto Dominguez, 29, had been in custody since a May arrest in Houston, but had evaded capture for almost two years, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement press release.

The release states: "According to the El Salvador PNC, Dominguez allegedly extorted money from local citizens and business owners, demanding they pay nearly $200 in American money weekly and/or monthly. The money was used as a form of rental payment so they could live in their homes or run their businesses. If they did not pay, he threatened to kill either a family member or employee."

According to ICE, Dominguez illegally entered the United States near Lukeville, Arizona in February 2008. On May 13, 2008, he was arrested in Houston on assault charges, which were later dropped. He remained in custody until his removal to El Salvador July 31.

ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations program "has removed more than 645 foreign fugitives from the United States who were being sought in their native countries for serious crimes, including kidnapping, rape, and murder," according to the press release.
