BREAKING: Is the Mesa Police Dept through ICE Targeting and Raiding the homes of DREAM Act activists?

by Dee Dee Garcia Blase on Jan. 11, 2013

Erika Andiola is an Arizona DREAM Act student and prominent activist, and it appears her home may have been raided and targeted for retaliation purposes.

According to Jose Penalosa, Arizona Immigration lawyer in Phoenix:
The Mesa Police Department (PD) a few months ago stopped Erika’s mom for an alleged traffic violation. She was arrested and taken to their headquarters. Mesa PD took her biometrics and questioned her regarding this matter. Because it was a Saturday night, the Mesa PD cut her loose on her own recognizance. After the television exposure and Erika’s [immigration activism] video being posted on you tube, Univision, etc., [It is possible] the Mesa PD was not happy about the matter.
Did the Mesa PD some how contacted DHS after her mother’s first court hearing?

It’s possible the Mesa PD probably pushed the matter for an investigation. The DHS finally investigated the matter and they could have taken retaliatory action against Erika, her advocacy efforts, and her family allegedly on behalf of the Mesa PD. Frank Milstead is currently the Chief of Police of the Mesa Police Department: Main Number: 480-644-2030

DREAM Act and legal immigration reform activists are contacting John Morton, the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano requesting asylum for Erika Andiola’s mother who fears being deported.
