    A week after dozens of illegal immigrants were arrested using fraudulent ID badges to access high-security areas of O’Hare Airport, Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) on Tuesday proposed legislation to require workers in all U.S. airports’ secure areas to be citizens.

    “It’s designed to specifically address problems that we found at O’Hare in particular but that seem to be symptomatic of problems that we see at other major airports,â€

    Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) One of the few good people in Congress from Illinois. He is on our side! We will get more good people next Nov 2008.

    I get a reply from all of the faxes I send to Rep. Kirk. I get no responses from Obama or Durbin!

    Kirk is doing another good thing. You may have heard that DHS is suing Illinois for blocking the Basic Pilot Program for employment. I just got a letter from Rep. Kirk stating; On Sept. 27, 2007 I introduced H.Res. 685, a resolution calling on the IL. General Assembly to repeal the new **law calling on Governor Blagojecvich to file an amicus brief in support of the US government in the upcoming support case.


    **August 13, 2007, the governor approved an IL law to prohibit employers from using the Basic Pilot Program to verify legal status of potential hires. The law is a clear violation of Federal law and Kirk will lead the fight against it.
