Jan. 17, 2014 – California man who fled to Mexico is latest fugitive added to ICE app to locate at-large child sex predators

A Mexican national residing in Modesto, Calif., who absconded to Mexico following his arrest Dec. 4 for sexual abuse of a minor, is the latest fugitive to be profiled on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) smartphone app, seeking public tips on at-large and unknown child predator suspects. Jan. 14, 2014 – ICE deports Mexican mass murder suspect captured in northern California

A Mexican national captured in Madera three months ago, who is charged with a mass murder in his native country, was turned over Jan. 14 to Mexican law enforcement personnel at a San Diego-area border crossing by officers from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).Full Story

Jan. 14, 2014 – ICE returns recovered, 'most wanted' stolen antiquities to India

ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) returned three recovered sculptures, valued at more than $1.5 million, to the government of India Jan. 14 during a repatriation ceremony at the consulate in New York City. One of the objects – a 350-pound sandstone sculpture stolen from an Indian temple in 2009 – was listed as one of INTERPOL's top 10 most wanted stolen works of art. Full Story

Jan. 16, 2014 – ICE removes man wanted for aggravated murder in Mexico

A Mexican national wanted in Mexico for aggravated homicide was returned Jan. 15 by ERO officers in Washington, and turned over to Mexico police at the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville, Tex. Full Story

Jan. 16, 2013 – ICE deports Seattle-area man wanted in Mexico murder

A former Seattle-area man was deported ERO officers Jan. 16 to Mexico where he faces homicide charges. Full Story

Treasury Continues Targeting Sinaloa Cartel Leadership

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Doug Coleman announced today that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) reported the designation of Jose Guadalupe Tapia Quintero, a Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico based senior lieutenant of the Sinaloa Cartel. Jose Guadalupe Tapia Quintero was designated for his role in the drug trafficking activities of Ismael "Mayo" Zambada Garcia and for playing a significant role in international drug trafficking.

Nationwide Contract Therapy Providers to Pay $30 Million to Resolve False Claims Act Allegations

Contract therapy providers RehabCare Group Inc., RehabCare Group East Inc. and Rehab Systems of Missouri and management company Health Systems Inc. have agreed to pay $30 million to resolve claims that they violated the False Claims Act by engaging in a kickback scheme related to the referral of nursing home business, the Justice Department announced today.
