A Twin Falls Man Sentenced 16 Years For Meth Trafficking 05/02/08
A Twin Falls man was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison Friday.
According to Idaho U.S. Attorney Tom Moss - 43 year old Jorge Navarrette- Sanchez will serve 16 years for trafficking meth and unlawful possession of a firearm.
All this stems from a June 18th, 2007 arrest by the Twin Falls Police Department, after they received a tip that Sanchez was transporting a large amount of drugs.
During the stop officers found Sanchez in possession of more than two pounds of methamphetamine, which had a street value of over $90,000, a 9 millimeter handgun, and over $2,000 in cash.
A later search of his home found more fire-arms. Sanchez, is an illegal alien and convicted felon, he made his way to Idaho from California.
